A lifelong resident of Florida (FloGrown), Thomas O’Hare is proud to call “The Land of Flowers” home. Originally from Orlando before the tourist boom, he savored a small-town environment. For years, he enjoyed the natural, rural, and unspoiled charms Florida possessed. From the Okefenokee down to the Dry Tortugas, he partook in what Florida had to offer. In 2006, seeking an escape from Orlando's tourist boom, he moved to Salzburg, Austria. The impending financial crisis forced a return to the US in 2007. Thomas then relocated to Sarasota, Florida, where he currently resides. Reflecting on his early years and the passion for writing, he began authoring manuscripts he always wanted to publish. His first manuscript, "The Rouge Scarf", was an accidental discovery during the research for his second title, "Tail of the Coin". During the investigation of a main character, he stumbled upon a series of improbable events that captured his imagination. He analyzed "Operation Dragon Rouge" in its entirety, only to discover that seemingly unachievable events had indeed occurred. Thomas began documenting, then authoring, a manuscript of unbelievable military and human achievements. From the forgotten international operation and in the face of harsh adversity, "The Rouge Scarf" was born. After completion, he continued his original quest and documented the events that now make up "Tail of the Coin". This volume is his second work of nonfiction. Early exposure to special operations and secret intelligence agency endeavors fueled his discovery and confirmation of actual events. After 50 years of research, he finally published the manuscript "Tail of the Coin". One major concern he now shares from his youth is Sarasota's uncontrolled growth and tourist boom. It evoked memories from Orlando's decline from a small town into a tourist magnet. Florida's inherent charm and natural beauty are once again being eroded. He incorporates his love for Florida in his latest manuscript and continues to champion a Florida that once existed many years ago. Thomas still has one more nonfiction manuscript he looks forward to publishing. Stay tuned for its eventual release in the near future.
